Dr. John Whyte
Jefferson Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute
Dr. Whyte MD, PhD is a physiatrist and experimental psychologist. He is the founding director and current Faculty Emeritus of the Jefferson Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute. Much of Dr. Whyte’s research has focused on assessment, treatment, and long-term outcome of severe brain injury, but he has maintained a parallel focus on solutions to the obstacles that impede rehabilitation research productivity more generally. He is a lead developer of the Rehabilitation Treatment Specification System, a multidisciplinary effort to open the “black box” of rehabilitation treatment by specifying its active ingredients. He has received numerous national and international awards for his research.
